You can (but shouldn’t) buy the display items
Some IKEA outlets will try to get you to purchase their display items. After all, after being taken out of the box, the cost of the product goes down, and they’ll most likely end up in the As-Is section a couple of months down the line. However, you shouldn’t do this.
First of all, you never know whose grimy hands touched the display items. Secondly, there might be scratches on the stuff on the products that you only realize after taking them home. Thirdly, they have brand-new, packaged goods in the back. In fact, some stores may be hesitant to sell you the display items since they’ll need to replace it.
