You guys
This one has the potential to spark a heated debate among people from all over the country. For our entire lives we have been saying ‘you guys, not ‘y’all’ and certainly not ‘youse guys. We have nothing against anyone who wants to speak like this, we just have to make it clear the other two options are not for us.
We guess that in the end, everyone speaks in a way that comes naturally to them. We like that we all have different ways to greet one another, it makes the United States a diverse place to live in and adds culture that we can all enjoy. Living in a country where there were no local dialects sounds super boring.
