#12: Lisa Leslie: Slam Dunk Player
Lisa Leslie made WNBA history in 2002 when she became the first woman to slam dunk during a game. She is an icon in the world of women’s basketball, and her many accomplishments make it obvious why that is. Leslie became the first basketball player to win four consecutive Olympic Gold medals, with wins in 1996, 2000, 2004, and 2008.
On top of her Olympic achievements, Leslie has also been MVP three times in the WNBA, MVP of the 2002 World Cup, and has earned two FIBA World Cup gold medals. Leslie was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015 and remains a source of inspiration for many women and men basketball players. She is now a head basketball coach in the BIG3 professional league.
