#8: Elana Meyers Taylor: Bobsledding Boss
Elana Meyers Taylor only began bobsledding in 2007 at the age of 23, but she quickly rose up the ranks. She is now one of the most decorated U.S. Olympic bobsledders in history! She made her way to the Olympics only three years after beginning her bobsledding training. If that doesn’t scream “talent,” we don’t know what does.
Among her other achievements are a Bronze medal from the 2010 Games and two Silvers from the 2014 and 2018 Games. Although she is taking a break from bobsledding training, she is still working and advocating for women athletes. In 2019, she became president of the Women’s Sports Foundation and has been vocal about biases and barriers surrounding women in sports.
