Carbon odor filter
The last place you’d expect to find a mirror is on the underside of a trash can lid. However, we’ve seen weirder things before. This guy was uncertain why a trash can manufacturer would place a mirror under the lid with a built-in sliding cover. Who looks at their reflection while taking the trash out?
It turned out that the reflective object was not a mirror but rather the underside of a stainless steel lid. As for the sliding door, it’s used to hold onto activated carbon filters, which are supposed to absorb the smelly smells that garbage emits. Pretty creative.
