Goodbye, Grandpa
Joe Jackson was a legend in the music industry. He was the person who pushed Michael Jackson to surpass his limits to become the superstar we know and love. While Joe’s methods of “training” the Jackson kids were questionable, the results certainly speak volumes about what a successful manager he was. As for how good of a father he was, you’d have to take that up with the Jacksons.
The patriarch of the Jackson family passed away on June 27, 2018, exactly nine years and two days after Michael’s death. He was inducted into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame in 2011 and received the Rhythm & Blues Humanitarian Award in 2014.
