Diagonal Crosswalks
In Japan, especially the more densely populated cities like Tokyo, getting around can be difficult. While public transportation is amazing, many people in those cities own cars, which means roads can become heavily jammed during work hours. So, how do the droves of pedestrians cross the road?

The government in Japan has come up with diagonal crosswalks to get people to where they need to go in less time. That way, they don’t have to wait for two green lights to finally arrive at their offices. We have these in the States, too, but they can sometimes cause more trouble than they save time.
