Mother Nature Does Not Take Orders
It’s very common to schedule vacations based upon climate that is opposite of yours. For folks that live in Northern climates, they may try to get South to warmer temperatures in the winter. Similarly, folks that live in the warmer climates tend to travel North to experience cooler temperatures. It is often heard that those that live in the South view snow as a unique phenomenon because they don’t get to see it very often (or at all).
Given the very purpose of his trip, it’s no surprise that Julio was pretty upset when it did not snow at all on his trip to New York… until the very moment he boarded the plane back home. What a bad stroke of luck to have. It also goes to show that no matter how much planning you do, you can’t always predict (and certainly not control) the weather. At least he got to see some white flakes from the plane, right? Better luck next time, Julio!
