50+ Times Librarians Showed that Their Jobs Are More Fun Than You Think

October 29, 2015 by Veronica Phillips

People think that libraries are boring—that there’s nothing there to do but read dusty old books and try not to sneeze and disturb those around us. For the most part, that’s true, and that’s probably why librarians have taken it upon themselves to spice up their workplace. Below, we’re going to share with you 50+ librarians who have a sense of humor and want to share it with their patrons. We urge you to go to your local library and see what sort of funny hijinks their staff get into (and maybe pick up a book or two while you’re there).

Be Like Batman

Librarians are just like the rest of us. They work, they go home, they watch movies, they cry themselves to sleep, and so on. They can also be fans of a particular comic book hero who beats criminals to an inch of death because of some code of honor or whatever.

But what you may not have known about the hero we’re talking about (it’s Batman) is that he’s a huge fan of Gotham Library. As you can see from the poster hanging on this library window, Batman returns… his books to the library. And on time, too! Be like Batman!
