Back in the 1980s and 1990s, people thought it would be a good idea to have celebrities pose for posters to promote reading. It sounded like a good idea in theory but not so much in execution. At least, that’s the case if they couldn’t find anyone better than Nicholas Cage.

Don’t get us wrong, we love the guy, but he’s not exactly an influential figure. However, we will say this: he was a mightily nice guy when he returned the skull of a t-rex to the Mongolian government after realizing it had been stolen. We’re sure Leonardo DiCaprio, who Nicholas outbid for the skull, wouldn’t have done the same thing.
