Treat everyone like a CEO
Sure, you should treat everyone fairly. Talk to a frontline worker the same way you would to a director or a president. In communication business theory, that’s how you’re supposed to do it, anyway, but nobody actually follows through. And then we have this guy who’s venting about someone not being impressed by his status as an intern.
For the three of you who don’t know what an intern is, it’s basically unpaid labor. Interns don’t have an official position in a company and definitely can’t make decisions (though they can offer input on projects or certain topics). Get off your high horse, buddy. Being an intern for someone’s favorite company is not a reason to be impressed.
