Pick Up and Say “Yello?”
“Answering the phone” doesn’t sound like a lot of work, but in the corporate world… it’s still not that challenging. You only have to remember a few lines when picking up, like “Good afternoon. This is so and so from the X department. How can I help you today?” You know, the regular spiel.

But this manager took it upon himself to explain the complicated task of “answering the phone” to an employee who had spent close to four months answering phones on the daily. And the kicker is that the manager had only been there for two weeks at that point.
