#14: The Strength of Many Men
I’ve seen a lot of hand railings in my life, and it’s just a downright delight to find such an interesting set. It’s unclear where they come from, but the same men uphold the railings at the Newcastle Co-op, an old retail building from the 1930s that was purchased and repurposed.
According to their website, the little men represent the effort that went into creating the space. Another remarkable fact about the Newcastle Co-op? There are two towers, North and South, and one of them has a barometer on the face! Granted, it hasn’t worked in many, many years, but it’s still neat.
