#23: Knives Out
Okay, if there’s anything we’re learning from this list of stories, it’s to beware of knives. Obviously, we know everyone should practice basic knife safety but some of these stories are just wild and scary close calls! One day this storyteller’s husband was grilling outside and he accidentally dropped the knife he was using to cut into the meat. When it hit the cement, the knife did something unexpected.
The rubber handle of the knife hit the cement and bounced back up all the way to the husband’s face. Yikes! Even worse, the pointy end of the knife hit straight on the guy’s glasses. He usually wears contacts, but just happened to be wearing his glasses that day. If not for that strange fluke, the knife would have gone straight into his eyeball! Some situations have way less scary outcomes just because of straight dumb luck. Be careful while using a knife, everyone!
