Moments That Made People Go ‘What Did I Just See?’

One of the things that encouraged me to pursue Geology in college was my love for rocks and precious stones. I don’t know what it is but seeing them shine and shimmer is always like a hypnotizing spell to me, putting me into a trance to keep my focus on them. And when you see them under a microscope, that’s where the real magic begins.

Rocks’ having different colors and characteristics make them even more interesting. All of us already know that we can find fossils in rocks, but who knew you can actually find even prettier things in them? This sunset fire opal is definitely mesmerizing. As its name suggests, it really seems like there is a sunset inside this precious rock.
