How Do You Math?
This transparent new parent revealed some daunting percentages. We’ve learned that parenting a newborn is 30 percent feeding, 50 percent changing diapers, 20 percent worrying, and 80 percent becoming so sleep deprived that you forget how to do basic math. Firstly, none of that adds up to 100 percent. Secondly, we already forget how to do basic math as it is.
Of course, the whole joke is that none of those percentages are supposed to equal 100. Who needs basic math, anyway? Math has never amounted to anything good. We would assume that “worrying” would be a much higher percentage. Regardless, it’s a clever joke. We’re laughing hysterically right at this moment. At least being a parent doesn’t mean you lose your sense of humor!
