Always Be Prepared
Here’s another prime example of a mother’s infinite, permeable influence. “I used to laugh at my mother’s big bucket purse, in which she would carry everything from anti-itch cream to snacks. Well, today someone was complaining of a sore throat, so I reached into my purse and offered them several different flavors of cough drops.”
If there’s one thing we learned from our mothers and Mary Poppins, it’s that carrying a spacious bag will go a long way. You never know what you’ll encounter out there in the real world! What if you’re stranded in the middle of nowhere with zero forms of sustenance on your person? Better to be overprepared than under.
