Iron
Ironing your freshly washed clothing used to be a challenging job, literally in the past. In the 1900s, irons were made of hefty materials, usually cast iron, and had to be heated on top of stoves after being filled with coal.
Even though they looked significantly different from what we know today, their simplicity of use and their appearance and construction were extremely impressive. They performed admirably for the time that they had.
