Radios
Radios were created to communicate, allowing sailors to keep in touch with others on other ships and land. 1900s radios were rather big and needed manual adjustment to reach the proper wavelength.
Today, radio receivers are smaller, more portable, and many don’t require antennas to operate; instead, they connect to internet radio through Wi-Fi. Some radios also serve as music boxes.
