A Bed of Ice Broken by the Louis Saint-Laurent in Resolute Bay
The Louis Saint Laurent is a Canadian Coast Guard Arctic Icebreaker that is customarily stationed near St. John’s, Newfoundland port, and the Labrador Sea in Canada. It traveled during the summer to various research projects in different parts of the Arctic region.
The icebreaker, as its name would lead you to believe, goes on an expedition in the Arctic. It’s been used for over 50 years, and despite a few dents here and there, it can probably be used for a few more good years.
