A Worker Resting on Bales of Cotton in Côte d’Ivoire
Above is a picture of a young laborer taking a break after working long hours in the sun. The exhausted man can see how much work he has done just by looking at the bales of cotton around him.
Over 520,000 tonnes of cotton were produced in Côte d’Ivoire between 2020 and 2021. The photo shows how much labor went into achieving that number. This young man, as well as others like him, have earned a break and then some.
