Joe DiMaggio – 1938 Goudie #274
Although this card may seem identical to others in the series, it is readily distinguishable as Joe DiMaggio’s. “Joltin’ Joe” debuted with the New York Yankees in 1936 and spent his entire 13-year professional baseball career with them. Aaron was a three-time MVP, two-time batting champion, and 1939 ML Player of the Year, as well as being a nine-time World Series champions and a member of the Hall of Fame in 1955.
Several DiMaggio’s cards will go for a high price. This caricature of DiMaggio with images in the background is fascinating and costs $200,000. Another version does not include the extra images in the background, but it is only valued at $115,000.
