Eddie Plank – 1909 T209
Eddie Plank began his career with the Philadelphia Athletics in 1901 and retired with the St. Louis Browns (now known as the Baltimore Orioles) in 1917. He finished his playing career with 326 victories, two World Series triumphs, and a Hall of Fame induction in 1946.
This Plank card, part of the renowned T209 set, is the second most rare in the set. The main reason for this card’s scarcity is due to printing difficulties. Many cards were destroyed because they did not pass quality control. Even those that did pass were off-center. If you discover a high-quality Eddie Plank, you will receive an $850,000 reward.
