Old Mill Joe Jackson – 1910 T210
The players in this collection are mostly unfamiliar to those who are not devotees of the game. Shoeless Joe Jackson is not one of them. In contrast, this photo of Jackson during his one year in New Orleans with the Pelicans is quite recognizable. He only spent one season there before moving to Cleveland and becoming a member of the Naps.
What makes it so unusual (and valuable) is that there are only a few of these cards in the world. That’s why one of these Old Mill Joe Jackson cards (in excellent condition) is worth $600,000. Because the red borders are more vulnerable to wear, it’s difficult to find a card like this in good shape.
