Satchel Paige – 1948 Leaf #8 Rookie Card
Satchel Paige was the oldest debutant in major league history when he made his MLB bow for the Cleveland Indians at the age of 42 in 1948. Before entering this professional baseball career, he was a well-known pitcher in the Negro Baseball League.
He was a two-time All-Star at a relatively young age, yet he still has success and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1971. He was also enshrined in the Hall of Fame nine years later, at the age of 76. It’s nearly tough to get a high-quality copy of this card, but if you do have one that you don’t need anymore, it might be worth $400,000.
