Kirby Puckett – 1984 Fleer Update
Kirby Puckett, a second baseman and outfielder, was selected by the Minnesota Twins in the first round (21st overall) of the 1987 MLB draft. The Centerfielder amassed 207 home runs with 1,085 RBI throughout his 12-year career with the Twins. Kirby Puckett died tragically at the age of 45 in Phoenix, Arizona, while known as “Puck.”
In the 1984 Fleer Update pack, Puckett’s essential card appears. Puckett was in third place for Rookie of the Year, trailing Mark Langston and Alvin Davis, who won the ’84 RoY title. This photo shows Puckett in his blue, white, and red Twins jersey. Depending on its condition, this card may sell for $200 to $500.
