Ghost Town of New Jersey
Ong’s Hat, a ghost town in New Jersey, was once home to many people in the 17th and 18th centuries. However, its population dropped rapidly in the 20th century until there were hardly any residents left, resulting in the ghost town that it is today.
This story begins with a common conspiracy theory: the idea that interdimensional travelers live in this town. According to a booklet distributed along with this story, the interdimensional group started when two Princeton University scientists settled in a deserted village and later invented “The Egg,” which enabled people to travel to other universes. While there is no concrete evidence to support the existence of this group, some individuals have come forward claiming they belonged to it at Ong’s Hat. The leaflet said that in order to avoid a police investigation, the machine moved everyone involved over to a separate dimension—an idea that circulated online.
