Aside from that, even small children understand that $ chump change isn’t enough in New York City. A mother’s question to her son regarding what he intended to buy with his extra $1.50 enraged many people online because it seemed she didn’t know exactly how much money her kid had earned or spent during the day.

The boy replied that he had no money to buy anything because a penny in New York City is virtually worthless. He’s correct, and it’s awful that a 9-year-old understands this, but his mother doesn’t! Hopefully, this youngster was able to increase his allowance and treat himself to something nice.
