Self-checkout straight to jail
Self-checkout machines are one of the best inventions for those who hate small talk with cashiers. Now, shoppers can go to these machines, ring up their own products, pay, then leave without having to interact with anyone else.
Companies can’t always trust shoppers not to game the system. For example, this one guy says you can save money on fruits by classifying everything as apples. Want to avoid the higher cost of papaya? Call it an apple instead. And that PS4 in your shopping cart? That’s an apple, too, apparently.
