How to get a deal from online sellers
Although it’s understandable that private sellers may not have an accurate idea of how much their used goods are worth, sometimes they post prices that are vastly too high for anyone to reasonably pay. If you come across such a situation, here’s a legally ambiguous but effective way to bring them back down to reality.
Creating “burner” accounts can be helpful when trying to lowball a seller. By first sending them unreasonable offers from these fake accounts, you’ll hopefully make them more open to your real offer when it comes in. If not, just keep making new burner accounts and spamming their inbox until they give in!
