This is not a note
Growing up, our mothers used to send us to school with a packed lunch and a sweet note wishing us a nice day. This is a lovely gesture when we’re young, but all kids reach a point when these gestures cease to seem delightful and look childish and outdated. When this youngster complained about his mother’s notes, she didn’t take it well.
It’s probably tough for parents to accept that their children are developing up and no longer need them as much. This mother respected her son’s demand, but she clarified how she felt about it, attaching a note to his lunch that said this was not a note but a poor napkin choice.
