Must Cross the Street Correctly
In certain areas of the United States, such as New York City, where they often mock tourists who do not jaywalk, jaywalking is regarded as a joke. In reality, this accepted worldwide rule is seen as highly rebellious in most countries.
To put it another way, South Koreans are sticklers for following the rules. This is why, during peak hours, absolutely no one jaywalks. They know of the risks associated with doing so on busy streets, particularly in cities like Seoul, South Korea’s capital. Tourists should be aware that this behavior is not acceptable and follow suit.
