No Hats Allowed
Although most areas in our neighborhood find it acceptable, there are a few places where wearing a cap is considered low class or impolite. However, when visiting South Korea, you must take off your hat in every indoor establishment you enter.
In South Korea, removing your cap before entering a building is considered a sign of respect. A worker may warn you before stepping into a building, but if you’re not and forget, you’ll stick out as the obnoxious visitor who has no regard for the locals.
