Homeless people sleeping on the street in certain American cities is nothing uncommon, and it’s human nature in these regions to either give them a few dollars or leave them alone. It’s typical to see dapper and professional-looking individuals sleeping on the streets of South Korea.
In other countries, you may be frightened and attempt to wake someone who appears like this. However, South Koreans are diligent workers, and the well-rested nappers on the street at the end of the week are typically just drunk. It is considered exceptionally impolite to wake someone up in South Korea.
