Burning CDs and DVDs
How do you share files with peers? Today, you simply upload your files onto the cloud and send a link to the recipient. Back in the day, we didn’t have this. If you wanted to share a video that you downloaded (assuming legally) on the internet, then you had to burn them onto a CD or DVD.
Bonus points to those who used CD-RWs to share files. They were pretty much like pen drives, but it took forever to copy and delete files from the discs. Before you ask us why we didn’t just download whatever we wanted from the internet, please remember that most homes only had 56 kbps internet connections. Only hardcore gamers and offices had cable internet (a whopping 1 Mbps).
