Daytime TV
Everyone has their go-to TV show when they get a sick day off. For us ‘90s kids, there weren’t any good cartoons to watch (Nick Jr. was for babies), so we’d watch whatever it was that mom did, which was mostly Maury, Judge Judy, The Price Is Right, and Jerry Springer, if there wasn’t anything foul on.
We had no idea what was going on in any of these TV shows. All we knew is that Maury would declare someone to be a father or not, Judge Judy would call someone an idiot and fine them $5,000, Bob Barker would walk around aimlessly, and Jerry Springer would provoke people to fight. These TV shows only moderately entertained us as we sat at home with a thermometer in our mouths.
