Minesweeper
There were four go-to “games” for millennials when the internet was down, which was pretty often if you had a dial-up modem. They were Paint, Solitaire, Spider Solitaire, and Minesweeper. Let’s focus specifically on Minesweeper because, as we’re sure every ‘90s kid understands, nobody knew how to play it.

But here’s the crazy thing about Minesweeper. Today, there’s a pretty huge community of speedrunners. That’s rights; people dedicate hours and hours of every day trying to outdo their personal bests and world records in Minesweeper. The game is a lot easier to understand now that we’re adults, but back then, it was click, click, and die.
