50 New Yorkers Share Talk About Living in New York City

March 26, 2015 by Veronica Phillips

Many of us dream of moving to New York, but are we mentally prepared? Do you know why it’s called the City that Never Sleeps? Because there’s so much going on in the residents’ apartments that they can’t fall asleep! Join us as we take a look at 50 New Yorkers who shared their unbelievably funny experiences living in their not-so-fancy neighborhoods.

Soothing the itch

A lot of us need to sacrifice the good things in life to make ends meet, but new New Yorkers have it much harder. Call it extreme budgeting, if you will. Noting in life is cheap, and this definitely applies to even the most basic amenities in NY apartments.

In order to save money, this woman rented a loft from a mutual friend. Little did she know that the loft was infested with all sorts of creepy crawlies. She stayed there for two nights and suffered over 50 bites before finding another place. Even if hot showers soothe the itchiness, why would anyone pay $700 a month for bedbug bites?
