Log Drivers
Back in the day, when trunks were floating around the river, it required a person to move them and carry them back to the millhouses. Today, this obsolete job seems completely unnecessary. We’re used to everything being done for us automatically and with designated machinery, but in the past, such small tasks were performed manually.
The sole job of the log driver was to drive the logs around the river, from the forest to the mills. This job had been neglected after the transportation systems started to gain momentum, and with today’s technology, it has been forgotten completely.
