Missing Van Gogh
Art enthusiasts will go to great lengths to see their favorite works in person, especially if it’s from iconic painters like Van Gogh. The controversial Dutch post-impressionist painter created more than 900 paintings in just 10 years but only sold one during his lifetime, and achieved fame posthumously.
The OP flew to London and was super excited to get a chance to Van Gogh’s “Sunflowers” at the National Gallery, especially because the entrance was free. He got there to see a placard stating that the artwork was on loan to another exhibition with a $25 entrance fee. Just his luck!
