Dina Manfredini
Dina Manfredini was an Italian-American who held the title of the oldest living person for 13 years before her death in December 2012. At the time, she was also the oldest living Italian-born person and she is also the tenth oldest validated supercentenarian. She passed away at the age of 115 years, 257 days. She was born in Northern Italy and in 1920 she moved to Iowa in the USA with her husband Riccardo.
During World War 2 she worked in an ammunition factory and she cleaned houses until the age of 90. To get cleaning work she would understate her age so they wouldn’t think she was too old. She remained active in her early 100s – dancing and shoveling snow until her health deteriorated and she eventually died in 2012.
