Jiroemon Kimura 116
The title of the oldest man to ever live goes to Jiroemon Kimura of Japan. He inherited the title of oldest man to ever live since Walter Breuning who passed away on the 14th April 2011. Jiroemon passed away in June 2013 at age 116 years, 54 days. He grew up in a fishing village called Kamikawa in Japan and he finished school at only 14 years old- the second-best student in his class.
He went on to work at local post offices for 45 years from age 17 to the age of 65. He married his neighbor in the 1920s after he had returned from working at a government communication unit in Korea. He worked as a farmer until the age of 90. He was an optimistic and happy individual who had never had any serious illness until shortly before his death in 2013.
