Annie Jennings
Annie was recorded as the oldest living person in Europe as well as the second-oldest living person in the world, at the time of her death. She was born on 12 November 1884 and she passed away at the age of 115 years, 8 days on 20 November 1999. She passed away eight days after her 115th birthday. Furthermore, she was the last surviving person born in the year 1884.
Jennings was born in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England, and spent the rest of her life there. She, later on, lived to become a teacher and had no children of her own. The supercentenarian disliked being in the Guinness Book of World Records – unlike many of her supercentenarian peers.
