Eva Morris
Eva Morris, the third oldest British person in history, was born in November 1885 and died in November 2000 at the age of 114 days, 360 days. She was born in Staffordshire, England, and worked as a domestic helper. She was also married once to Joseph Morris – who passed away in the 1930s – with whom she had one child (Winnie, who passed away in 1975 due to cancer).
Eva attributed her long life to whiskey and boiled onions; she lived in her own flat until the age of 107 and after struggling with a chest infection she moved to a nursing home. She spent the remainder of her final years deaf and partially sighted. She, unfortunately, missed her 115th birthday by a mere 6 days.
