#31: We’re Not Falling for It This Time
Every example of clever marketing has its lesser counterpart, and thus, as we previously saw the clever use of font size to momentarily fool the eye, here we see a similar attempt but rather poorly executed. Something about the use of different colors and fonts is just a little bit too bombastic.

As I’ve mentioned, I’m not entirely against these little marketing tricks, especially when humor is involved, but a certain delicacy is required when implementing them. It’s what can make the difference between a cute ploy that draws the consumer in and what can be construed as crude manipulation.
