#35: It Sounded Too Good to Be True
I don’t know if I’m the silly one here or if I’ve just been worn down by capitalism to the extent that I can no longer even identify when companies are manipulating me, but this seems totally normal to me. Isn’t this the way that all companies advertise their deals these days? Has it always been this way?

Sure, the ‘each’ is noticeably smaller than the rest of the text, but it’s hard for me to imagine that for anyone, it is invisible entirely. Also, two pizzas for $6.99 sounded a bit too good to be true. I also assume that this deal is still of some value, even if it’s not the mega-discount that would be two for $6.99.
