Giving in to Your Kid’s Demands
This person wanted to teach us all a helpful trick about preemptively dealing with temper tantrums. If you know a temper tantrum is coming on, you need to make a snap decision regarding whether you’re going to buy them what they want or not.
Don’t wait until your child is thrashing around on the supermarket floor, pointing and begging for something. If you were going to get them what they wanted, it should’ve been before you reached this point. When they eventually do throw a tantrum, you should stick to your ground and say, “NO.” That way, they’re not conditioned to cry to get what they want.
