#32: Popularity Contest
Popularity and success do not inherently mean someone has talent or value in the field. Popularity often comes not from talent but external factors, which sadly means countless talented people remain unrecognized due to a lack of exposure or resources. In contrast, many untalented people consequently maintain their fame and following.
True talent is found in the dedication, creativity, and impact someone puts into their work, regardless of the recognition that follows. Valuing substance over surface-level success encourages a deeper appreciation for genuine skill, and that’s a perspective everyone should get behind.
