#7: Sizes Are Not One Size Fits All
Starbucks really messed up the way we think of sizes, haven’t they? Small, medium, and large just make sense, while the “tall,” “grande,” and “venti” don’t make sense to some people. After all, venti translates to “twenty,” and “grande” translates to “large,” so the actual meanings of the words become lost when used in other contexts!
Made-up sizes seem trendy and fun to many people. However, it can also be argued that they just confuse what would otherwise be an easy order, especially because they allow the customer or service staff to miscommunicate when ordering. Why make things unnecessarily complicated?
