The decision to come out to the public as a member of the LGBTQ community must be made exclusively by the individual. This piece addresses the most prevalent issue that most people have when it comes to coming out as a member of the LGBTQ community: being judged by others. Whether or not someone belongs to the LGBTQ community or any other group or caste for that matter, does not make a difference.
At the end of the day, we’re all just people, and the world could use a bit more compassion and understanding. The day is approaching on which marriage equality and respect for sexual orientation will become commonplace. We’ve all been looking forward to it.
